As Patrik gears up for Game 1 against the Flyers at the Prudential Center tonight, he took a moment to discuss the end of the regular season and the series ahead.
Patrik on riding a streak of six points in six games into the playoffs:
“I am satisfied with how the season ended, both with my personal performance and how the entire team is playing. I enjoyed every match down the stretch and had fun, which reflected in my play. I think I’ve been playing good hockey and have gained confidence as we head to the playoffs, which is very important.”
Patrik on facing the Flyers:
“Philadelphia will be a tough opponent. It will be a challenging series both physically and mentally, because they are typically a very physical team. It will be important for us to stay disciplined and dictate the pace of the game. We are staying positive. We know what they have to offer and we feel we have a great chance of success against them.”
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m (Eastern Time).
