4. january 2011 / PATRIK ELIAS CALLS THIS THE STRANGEST DEVILS SEASON EVER
Patrik Elias, who may start Tuesday night's game against the Minnesota Wild at center, called this season the strangest he's had in the NHL.
He said being in last place at this point in the season is something he could never have envisioned.
"No question. Especially when you always end up on top and are always among the top teams in the conference," Elias said. "You don't look up at every team in the league, like we are. We always had teams chasing us. We'd be chasing maybe one or two teams ahead of us first first place. That's life. You deal with it. It's your job. You try to find the positives."
