17. december 2011 / DEVILS' PATRIK ELIAS SCORES TWICE IN 5-3 WIN OVER CANADIENS TO BECOME TEAM'S ALL-TIME GOAL-SCORER
Mid-December hasn’t been such a festive time for former Devils right winger and coach John MacLean in recent years.
Almost one year ago, on Dec. 23, he lost his job as the team’s rookie head coach and tonight MacLean lost his longtime designation as the Devils’ all-time goal-scoring leader.
Patrik Elias scored the 347th and 348th goals of his career in the Devils’ 5-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre to move one ahead ofMacLean in the club’s record book.
