21. february 2009 / PATRIK ELIAS CONTINUES SPARKLING SEASON FOR NEW JERSEY
Over the past couple of months, Devils’ winger Patrik Elias has remained a fixture on the National Hockey League’s top ten scoring list. Elias has been a model of consistency, being held pointless for three consecutive games only once all season long. When Patrik was held scoreless in two games against Florida and Tampa Bay in February, it marked the first such occasion since December, a span of 26 games. And even though he was held officially scoreless against the Lightning on February 19th, he was still a difference maker for the Devils with his shootout goal that beat goaltender Karri Ramo to solidify New Jersey’s 3-2 victory.
